Constant Candle supplies everything you need to create a new candle sustainably - direct to your door. Pre-fragranced luxury eco-friendly candle wax to heat and pour into a candle holder of your choice, lead-free cotton wick plus a wooden wick holder together with instructions and videos.
High street candles are made from paraffin or mineral wax with nasty toxins. Many people are unaware that paraffin wax, commonly used in candles, is a byproduct of crude oil, which “basically means you’re burning fossil fuels in your own home” according to the UK Governments Clean Air Strategy guidelines. Candle fragrances may also contain phthalates, linked with numerous health concerns.
We allow you to refill your existing candle holders with our eco-friendly scented wax for the same cost as a high street candle.
Removing wax from your existing candle holder
You can refill your candle holder once the wax has burnt down to ¼”
Fill the candle holder to above the wax line with boiling water. Let water cool and the wax should be soft enough to be able to scrape out with a spoon.
Alternatively you can place your candle holder in the freezer until the wax has frozen. Use a teaspoon to run around the edge of the wax and slide it under the wax to pop out the candle.
Then simply wash and dry your candle holder.
TOP TIP - if you can remove the wick you can use this wax as a wax melt = zero waste.
